WORK UNDERTAKEN
We were engaged by AMA to reline 189 metres of culvert due to the deterioration of the existing lining. Health and Safety was paramount for us as the environment was a confined space requiring gas detectors and strict egress and ingress compliance. Strict environmental procedures needed to be observed to eliminate contamination of the waterway.
Maxbuild implemented an accelerated programme to mitigate any negative impact on the surrounding waterway.
Project Challenges:
- Strict environmental standards had to be met to mitigate water contamination including: Construction of a cofferdam and diverting stream to ensure environmental compliance
- Monitoring and relocating aquatic life
- Monitoring pH levels of water
