Auckland’s iconic Grafton Bridge was constructed in 1910 and is listed by Heritage New Zealand. In 2016 MaxBuild replaced eight bridge joints with a Wabo joint system supplied by BAS. This system meets the requirements for movement accommodation and traffic exposure. As Grafton Bridge is a core component of Auckland’s public transport network and is located in an urban area the bridge joint replacement needed to be undertaken efficiently during night time working hours and within strict noise limits.
