MaxBuild Fiji was established in 2016. As with MaxBuild in New Zealand it is 100% Fijian owned. Where possible it aims to recruit and train local Fijian employees and to reinvest in the Fijian business. Our vision is for MaxBuild Fiji to be Fiji’s leading asset maintenance contractor.
MaxBuild Fiji focusses on the same projects as MaxBuild in New Zealand i.e. concrete repair and protection, structural strengthening, specialist grouting and water proofing. Typical projects include bridge maintenance and wharf repair. MaxBuild Fiji is the only trained applicator in Fiji for Sikadur Combiflex.
Maxbuild Fiji is currently engaged in repair works on the Qelekoro Crossing. The scope of works includes surfacing, concrete and concrete repair works. These works are subcontracted from Fulton Hogan Hiways JV. Some of the project is in the tidal zone, requiring good scheduling of activities to ensure that concrete can be finished suitably. About 50 trucks cross the bridge per hour providing further challenges to the working environment.
